TCU Criminal Thinking Scales (TCU CTS) is unavailable currently for download.
Items are being reviewed and revised so that they do not inadvertently contribute to racial disparities in our criminal justice system.

If you or your agency use the TCU CTS then please note that:
(i) the Personal Irresponsibility (PI) scale should no longer include item #3 in the scoring of the PI scale
(ii) the Criminal Rationalization (CR) scale should no longer include items #18 and #19 in the scoring of the CR scale.

Also please note that this instrument is intended to be used strictly as a pre- and post-assessment of criminal thinking intervention effectiveness; it is not designed for any other purpose within the criminal justice system (e.g., it should not be used when making decisions about cases)
